About Us
Stephanie Adler Yuan, MS
Founder & Principal
I’m a narrative medicine educator, facilitator, and program strategist working at the intersection of healthcare, education, arts, and community engagement.
I teach in Columbia University’s MS in Narrative Medicine program and have spent more than a decade designing and leading programs across healthcare, higher education, and nonprofit settings, including senior leadership roles at Planetree International and the Schwartz Center for Compassionate Healthcare. My work brings healthcare professionals, patients and families, students, educators, and community partners into reflection, dialogue, and shared learning.
I created Narrative in Practice to bring narrative medicine into conversation with arts and health, education, and organizational change, with a focus on turning ideas into thoughtful programs, partnerships, and practices that reach broader communities.
